The Genet Models website is in the process of being moved to its own server because it was getting uncomfortably close to exceeding the resource limits of shared hosting, and it may take up to 72 hours for the DNS propagation to complete.
If you can see this post, then you’re already visiting the new server!
I’ve just now fixed a few file linking issues caused by the migration, but if you run into any issues like being unable to download things from the model archives, please let me know at email@example.com.
Sorry for the downtime! I added extra backend functionality today for future Workbench posts, a product catalog display, and product information page templates with buttons that point to Wargame Vault, RPGNow, and DriveThruRPG.
The catalog and product page stuff are for future new model releases, and the Workbench stuff is for keeping all future Workbench posts organized, searchable, and browsable in a nice tidy archive for visitors.
I think I’ve crossed everything off my website to-do list!
- The Model Archive downloads are well behaved
- Model Archive now has a central landing page instead of an unwieldy dropdown menu
- Site redesign is done
- Workbench support is done
- Catalog and product page stuff for future releases are done
I need to do a refresh pass on all the promotional and print assets for Genet Models and see what needs to be done to get it all up to date for 2016. That shouldn’t take me more than one or two weekend days.
I’ve done some cleanup work and a re-theme of the website, and am preparing to add more features and content to it.
In the meantime, pardon the dust and the occasional “Maintenance In Progress” landing page!
